Specialists for Food Processing
The training of specialists is an important pillar for the sustainability of any company. As well as dual vocational training, the dual “Food Processing” degree at the FH Lübeck is now another way to safeguard the future. The degree trains young people ready for work in food economics production departments or those departments that are closely linked with food economics production. The curriculum includes equal measures of food technology, food chemistry / biology and business economics. To study for the degree, students must have passed their Hochschulreife [higher education entrance qualification] and completed vocational training in a food industry profession with an industrial focus, ideally the profession of “Specialist in Food Engineering”. As part of the “Food Regio” network, H. & J. Brüggen KG has taken on a leading role in setting up the degree course and has proactively supported the degree by providing training for a dual-system student. “Our student will be one of the first to successfully complete the degree”, explains Arne Jensen, head of product development and head of training for „food technology“. A further 6 students are also being trained.
